Grover Norquist is Crying Like a Little Baby

One of the consequences of throwing Trump and a bunch of Republicans out of office for failing to govern is that now we get to fix the tax code. I am hoping President Biden let's Senator Elizabeth Warren stick it to the rich and signs legislation that specifically targets the wealthy. I hope they are taxed into oblivion. Let them go live in the Caribbean. Let them deal with foreign banking officials who are corrupt and will walk off with their wealth because their banks are just Ponzi schemes.

I mean, is it fair and reasonable to want people like Grover to have a big sad all over the place? I think it would be irresponsible not to hope and pray for someone to relieve him of whatever bullshit untaxed wealth he's been hoarding throughout the Trump years. The man who said that he wanted to shrink government down to the point where it could be drowned in a bathtub is now going to get super serious about regulating the behavior of America's wealthy elites.

Couldn't happen to a nicer bunch of fucking criminals.

It Was Always Bullshit

If you're reading this out of context, like I just did, don't worry.

This is what John Bolton put into his book about his time in the Trump Regime. This is what former Chief of Staff John Kelly said about Trump's son-in-law, Jared Kushner. And that's Trump's response--how else are we going to stop the caravans?

The caravans were just a bunch of bullshit. Everything about Trump and his regime is a criminal act that has gone unpunished.

Thanks again, GOP. You own this mess. You own this fiasco. You own all of it, forever.

This is Now the Gilded Age

Dear Prudence,
I live in one of the wealthiest neighborhoods in the country, but on one of the more “modest” streets—mostly doctors and lawyers and family business owners. (A few blocks away are billionaires, families with famous last names, media moguls, etc.) I have noticed that on Halloween, what seems like 75 percent of the trick-or-treaters are clearly not from this neighborhood. Kids arrive in overflowing cars from less fortunate areas. I feel this is inappropriate. Halloween isn’t a social service or a charity in which I have to buy candy for less fortunate children. Obviously this makes me feel like a terrible person, because what’s the big deal about making less fortunate kids happy on a holiday? But it just bugs me, because we already pay more than enough taxes toward actual social services. Should Halloween be a neighborhood activity, or is it legitimately a free-for-all in which people hunt down the best candy grounds for their kids?
—Halloween for the 99 Percent

Someone needs to check their privilege at the door and acknowledge that, when you argue that paying more in taxes means you shouldn't have to tolerate the presence of the poor, you're the scum of the Goddamned Earth.

Just so we're clear, lady--your taxes aren't anywhere nearly high enough to compensate for what a parasite you've become.

This is Normal in a New Gilded Age

This is the new Gilded Age. For a handful of human beings, their existence is vastly different than the rest of humanity. They live in a fantasy world of extreme wealth and a poverty of accountability. Our elites are now so completely and utterly incompetent and bloated with cash that there is no way to reverse the path we're on, not without some sort of violent cataclysm or a really, really good series of Congressional hearings.

I kid. We're doomed. Start a blog, roll in the grass, eat something fattening, pet your dog. You'll be broke in a year like all the rest of us. Enjoy forever.
